Morning, Afternoon and Evening Sails - Friday August 2nd - Sunday August 4th. Sails will be aboard the A.J. Meerwald, a restored oyster-dredging schooner whose home port is in Bivalve, Commercial Township, N.J. Visitors can help to raise the sails, engage in piloting the vessel and learn about the ship’s historic role in the oyster industry. All sails noted above will depart from the Lewes Ferry Terminal located at 43 Cape Henlopen Drive. Little League World Series for Senior League Softball Regional Qualifications . Lower Sussex Little League Complex, Roxana. Monday July 29th through Sunday August 4th. With the 2019 Little League International Tournament officially underway, it’s time to find out how you can follow all the Little League World Series action this summer including locally here in Sussex with the Girl's Senior League Softball World Series regional games in Roxana, DE. The Delaware State Fair takes place every year in late July in Harrington, Delaware. The ten-day event is famous for its impressive midway, livestock exhibitions and competitions, races, games, and thrills as well as delicious food. It draws hundreds of thousands of attendees not just from Delaware, but also from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. In addition to traditional family-friendly fun, there's also The Harrington Raceway & Casino that operates on the fairgrounds. The Delaware State Fair offers premiere live music across a few concert venues. 39th Annual Sandcastle Contest . Saturday, Jul. 13, 2019. 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. South Inlet Day Area, 39415 Inlet Rd, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Watch or take part in one of Delaware Seashore legacies – the annual Sandcastle Contest at the South Inlet Day Area. Fireworks Rehoboth July 3rd and Lewes/Dewey July 4th - Rehoboth 9:30 PM on Wednesday, Jul. 3, 2019 Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk . Get your toes in the sand during a memorable fireworks show. The fireworks are launched from the beach south of Rehoboth Avenue and visible up and down the boardwalk and beach. Please be in town early. Depending on the weather, the fireworks may be launched any time after 8 p.m. Lewes Beach . Shortly after dusk on July 4. Lewes Beach will be fireworks central, of course! That also means parking will be a challenge and parking space will be extremely limited. Dewey Beach Fireworks will start at dusk (around 9:00 pm), on the bayside in front of Northbeach at 125 McKinley Street. Fireworks will be set off from a barge in the bay and will be visible from any bar or restaurant along the bayside in Dewey.
