Dewey's Golden Jubilee - September 28th - 30th 2018 in Dewey Beach De. A celebration of the Golden Retriever (that benefits the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study). Previous years brought close to 200 goldens running blissfully free on the beach, chasing tennis balls and swimming together in the surf. A bit of Heaven for everyone to witness! There are some fun activities planned, all revolving around enjoying our furry goldens for some fun in the sun on Dewey’s dog-friendly beaches. It is a time set aside to spend quality time with our precious goldens and meet others who share the same passion for the amazing breed! No Kissing This Weekend (at the Rehoboth Beach Garlic Fest) - September 21-22, 2018. Join us for the 2nd Garlic Fest in the State of Delaware. Drink Beer, Eat Great Food and Do Good Things - What Could Be Better! Dogfish Head’s Beer & Benevolence program night will support the CHEER’s Cooking for Sussex Seniors Capital Campaign. CHEER is committed to provide high quality nutrition program capable of serving the demands of Sussex County’s expanding and aging senior citizen population by constructing new commercial kitchen at the site of the CHEER Community Center. Cheer will be receiving 10% of all food and beverage sales today Wednesday, September 12th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at its Brewings & Eats restaurant in Rehoboth Beach. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and Door Prizes including a Dogfish Head gift basket and other cool items. 40th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival - The Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival takes place annually on the Saturday after Labor Day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The popular one-day show features jewelry, glass, pottery, watercolor and oil painting, photography, basketry, woodworking, and much more! More than 100 artists, both local and from around the country, will be displaying their works of art along the bandstand and boardwalk areas, as well as the street festival areas in downtown Bethany Beach. There is not a more beautiful backdrop for unique works of art. he annual event also serves as a fundraiser for the arts programs at four local elementary schools. The silent auction is comprised of pieces donated by participating artists, and is hosted on the Bethany Beach Bandstand from 10 am - 2 pm.
