Things to do at the Delaware beaches this weekend

Rehoboth Beach Mardi Gras’ Annual Gumbo Crawl will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 2 pm to 5 pm. Tickets are on sale at Purple Parrot and The Pond and at all participating restaurants the last week of February. Ticket sales are cash only. The "ticket" you purchase for $10 is your gumbo ballot and with the ballot you get a sample from each participating restaurant. Then you vote for your favorite gumbo. It is Rehoboth Beach downtown only. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department. It just gets bigger and better every year. In 2018, Rehoboth Mardi Gras was able to donate $5000.00 to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company. Participating restaurants for 2019 include:  The Pond, Purple Parrot, Cafe Azafran, Conch Island, Cooter Brown's La Fable, Mariachi, The Pines, Rigby's, Rehoboth Ale House, Zogg's.
