Delaware Humane Association Designer Bag Bingo , Thursday, September 26th, Doors open at 5:30 pm and games begin at 7:00 pm, Rehoboth Convention Center.  IT’S TIME FOR B-I-N-G-O! Join fellow animal lovers for a night of Designer Handbag Bingo to benefit our Rehoboth Adoption Center. Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is so proud to have expanded our services to the Lewes/Rehoboth Beach area. The Rehoboth adoption center, located in the Midway Plaza at 18675 Coastal Highway, allows individuals and families to adopt a cat or dog.  Win beautiful handbags from Coach, Michael Kors, Tory Burch and more! There will be 50/50 raffle baskets, with food and non-alcoholic beverages for sale. Please no outside food and drink. Tickets are $30, must be 18+ to play. Annual Chautauqua Tent Show : Thursday, September 19th - Saturday, September 21st. The white-hot crucible of events that was the 1960s—including the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, the space program and rock ‘n’ roll—will be explored during the 21st annual Chautauqua tent show, “The 1960s in Delaware: A Decade of Turmoil and Transformation,” that will take place at the Lewes History Museum, located at 101 Adams Ave. in downtown Lewes. A unique mixture of education and entertainment, Lewes’ Chautauqua will be held under a large tent and will feature historical theater, music, film and lectures. Highlights of the three-day event include actor-historians from the American Historical Theatre portraying Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and President Lyndon B. Johnson on Thursday, Sept. 19; a screening of the documentary “Good Ol’ Freda” about the Beatles secretary on Friday, Sept. 20; and a concert/dance featuring the Fabulous 60’s Revival Band on Saturday, Sept. 21. BALLOONS OVER SUSSEX FESTIVAL . Sat & Sun, September 14-15, 2019. Located at the Delaware Coastal Business Park/Airport. 21788 Nanticoke Avenue, Georgetown, DE 19947. Hosted by The Sussex Academy Foundation. Activities include: mass ascension of up to 15 hot air balloons, Passenger balloon flights, Tether balloon rides, and a number of other exciting activities. ADMISSION FEE of $10 for adults and kids 10 and over(children under 10 will be free) will be charged daily and paid upon your arrival at festival grounds. Parking is free however there is no parking available for buses, trailers or campers. Activities for kids will include face painting, games, and air-brush tattoos will be available. The Sussex Academy Technology Science Association will be offering build your own tissue paper hot air balloons (and see them fly). A fee will be associated with each activity.
